Team chat for contractors' office and crews
Team messaging for the office and the field, linked to the deal it's about.
GoChat is your team's messaging board inside Gozango. Message teammates one on one or in group chats, @mention someone to hand off a request, and link a conversation to its deal so the discussion stays with the customer. It's internal, so customers never see it.
How it works
01/04
Start a chat
Message one teammate, or set up a group like Install crew or Office team.
02/04
Mention someone
@mention a teammate to hand them a request. It lands in their chats like a simple ticket.
03/04
Link the deal
Link the chat to the deal it's about, so the conversation stays with the customer.
04/04

- @mentions that hand a teammate a request, like a simple ticket
- Chats linked to a deal or customer record

- All and Unread views, plus search
- Works from the phone, so crews in the field can message the office
- Internal only: customer texts stay separate, in Business Texting
What changes with contractor team chat
What life looks like before and after.
- Before
Job questions get lost in personal texts and group threads.
AfterTeam messages live in Gozango, linked to the deal they're about.
- Before
A request made in passing is forgotten by lunch.
After@mention a teammate and the request lands in their chats.
- Before
Someone new to a job scrolls through a coworker's phone for context.
AfterThe chat is linked to the deal, so the context travels with the customer.
Is GoChat for texting customers?
No. GoChat is internal, for your team only, and customers never see it. Use it for one-on-one and group conversations between the office and the crews, @mention a teammate to hand off a request, and link a chat to the deal it's about. Texts with customers run through Business Texting on your business and personal lines, and they're logged on the customer record. Keeping the two apart means team shorthand never reaches a homeowner by mistake. GoChat is included from the Grow plan.
When contractors use contractor team chat
How operators put this to work.
- Crew
The install crew's group chat
Mike asks @Jess whether the patio door ships before Thursday's install. Jess confirms it arrives Wednesday, and the thread is linked to Dana Whitfield's deal.
- Office
Hand off a request
A customer wants a copy of the warranty. Alex @mentions Mike on the Patel windows deal, and the request shows up in Mike's chats.
- Owner
One place for team talk
Office and field stop splitting job conversations across personal phones. The Unread view shows what you haven't caught up on.
